The FAU-LAC Urgent Action Fund provides rapid, flexible funding to organizations, movements, and collectives across Latin America and the Caribbean that are responding to urgent threats or advancing the rights of women and gender-diverse people.

We provide fast, flexible funding so organizations and movements can respond to urgent risks, continue their work, and take action when it matters most.

The fund offers three types of grants designed to address emergencies, strengthen collective care, and support strategic actions led by organizations, movements, and collectives across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Funding supports:

• Strategies to protect activists and their organizations when they are at risk or facing threats.

• Actions that respond to strategic opportunities to defend and advance the rights of women and gender-diverse people.

Grant Amount

• Up to $8,000 USD, or up to $10,000 USD for projects that include collective care activities.

Grant Period

• Up to 6 months.
