Our charitable giving and grantmaking support Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste social impact plan, our commitment to end hunger in our communities, and eliminate waste across our company by 2026. We are committed to helping the communities we call home grow and prosper.

We support nonprofits and community organizations aligned with our mission to create communities free of hunger and waste.

We support nonprofits, innovators and community-based organizations that help:

• Meet critical transportation needs for food banks and partner agencies.

• Operate mobile pantry programs to improve food access in underserved communities.

• Increase access to, and enrollment in, SNAP benefits.

• Provide breakfast after the bell for students at school.

• Serve homeless men and women who want to gain skills, stabilize their lives and find permanent housing.

• Improve nutrition education and access to healthier foods.

We also support other nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in our communities. Kroger gives back to our communities in these key focus areas:

When requesting a donation, please specify the type of support needed from these options: 

• Cash Donation: nonprofit organization request for charitable cash support to help drive community impact. This includes Foundation Grants for philanthropic support to transform our communities without any commercial incentive 

• Sponsorship: nonprofit organization request for cash support with the purpose of achieving commercial objectives 

• Gift Card: nonprofit organization request for gift cards 

• Product: nonprofit organization request for in-kind or product donations

Please note that grants from The Kroger Co. Foundation and The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation are processed quarterly with the following application deadlines: 04/03/2026, 06/26/2026, 09/18/2026 & 12/04/2026.
