Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation

Sports Matter

The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation supports nonprofit organizations and public schools that increase access to youth sports in underserved communities. Funding helps remove financial barriers so more children can participate in organized sports through equipment, registration fees, facilities, transportation, coaching, and other sports-related needs.


Must be one of these sports (some flexibility): 


  • Archery, Boxing, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cheerleading, Cricket-Cross-Country, Curling Cycling, Dance Team, Distance Running, Diving, Equestrian, Fencing, Field Hockey, Fishing, Flag Football, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Kayaking, Lacrosse, Martial Arts/Kung Fu, Mixed Martial Arts, Mountain Biking, Mountain Climbing, Netball, Pickleball, Polo, Racquet Sports, Rowing, Rugby, Sailing, Skating, Skiing/Snowboarding, Soccer, Softball, Squash, Swimming, T-Ball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track and Field, Triathlon, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Water Polo, Weight Lifting, Wrestling.

About The Grant

Requirements

  • Be a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity or eligible public/charter school.


  • Must provide organized sport opportunities for youth 18 years or younger. 


  • Serve communities with demonstrated economic need.


  • Grant requests must range from a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $25,000. 


  • Organization must operate on the local level or be an affiliate/chapter of a larger organization that operates locally and directly benefits the service area of the facility from which they are requesting funding. 


  • Grant must be used to support the playing of youth sports (examples include equipment, registration fees, league costs, infrastructure support, etc.). Funding will NOT be provided for playground creation/refurbishments, fundraisers, or e-sports.
