The MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program supports U.S. nonprofit organizations working to improve the mental health and well-being of young people of color. The program funds innovative initiatives that reduce mental health and substance use disorder disparities, expand equitable access to care, increase awareness, and provide culturally and linguistically responsive mental health services.
Grant recipients will be selected based on one or more of the following initiatives focused on young people of color:
Delivering innovative programming that addresses mental health and substance use disorder inequities.
Promoting awareness of mental health and substance use disorder inequities.
Increasing equitable access to mental health and substance use disorder care.
Enhancing the quality of culturally and linguistically appropriate services in mental health and substance use disorder care.
The MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program awards will be in the total amount of $10,000 for a two-year funding period contingent on the first year being successfully completed.
About The Grant
Requirements
Be a U.S. based non-profit community organization certified as tax exempt in accordance with criteria set forth by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under Section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6) of the U.S. Tax Code.
Demonstrate recent efforts toward addressing mental health and substance use disorder inequities experienced by young people of color.
Have been operational for at least two consecutive years.
Requires reports.
