Koch Foundation's mission is built on Koch’s vision “to strengthen and propagate the Roman Catholic faith by providing grant support for a wide variety of evangelization efforts." The Koch Foundation is international in scope and prioritizes areas and populations most in need of a Catholic presence. As the Catholic Church has emphasized its global perspective, we also recognize our global responsibilities.
Our Focus
The Koch Foundation has three (3) primary funding priorities for projects, programs, areas, and population which focus financial support within the constraints of the available budget, time, personnel, and other resources.
These three (3) priorities are:
Direct Evangelization
Preparation of Evangelists
Capital Expenditures.
Organizations in the United States are required to meet the following:
Identified and recognized by the United States Official Catholic Directory (OCD) published by P.J. Kenedy & Sons
Possess a letter from the U.S. IRS proving their exemption from federal taxes (specifically 501(c)(3)).
Non-US Applicants:
-Organizations outside the United States must provide a letter of support from the ordinary of their diocese.
The application must include:
Evidence of a location’s non-profit
Non-governmental status is equivalent to a public charity as found in the United States.
-The Applicant must identify a Fiscal Agent* within the United States that is personally known to them and can verify the proposed project on their behalf.
About The Grant
Requirements
Applicants must be Catholic organizations as recognized by the Catholic hierarchy of Rome.
Eligible applicants must submit a Letter of Request providing a brief description of the project, beginning and ending dates, who will administer the project, the cost, why it is needed, and what the project will accomplish.
Applicants outside of the United States must identify a fiscal agent within the United States. Requests from Catholic organizations outside of the United States must provide a fiscal agent, listed in the United States Official Catholic Directory, who is willing to accept responsibility for the distribution of funds.
